What are you dealing with?

We all are dealing with SOMETHING! It may be getting better health, a family crisis, a turning point in our lives to do something different.

I suggest to take a step back....time out to THINK! So many times we don't. We are often in the "trying to deal with the thing" so we often miss the opportunity to transform a part of our lives we want to do.

Write down all the great things that can come from your situation. Dig deep! You will find many gold nuggets waiting for you!

Take time to THINK

Write down the possibilities until one of them INSPIRE YOU!

Write down the action steps to make it happen!

Take the actions!

You have a pot of gold somewhere near you...and for many LOTS of Gold!

Your Vision Statement

Do you have a vision statement for your business? PWI has recently embarked on updating our vision statement. We have spent several hours over several meetings to develop a vision statement that follows certain guidelines and is a vision statement that inspires us.

Once the vision statement is finalized, a new mission statement will be developed that will be clear and inspiring. At times, it feels as though we will never finish creating the vision statement, but we persevere as a Team to develop something that truly and authentically inspires us. We are excited about our vision and mission project.

These are the guidelines we are using for crafting our new vision statement. Please share your vision statement or any comments. I look forward to your post!

The vision statement should be dynamic, not passive or static. The words should have force and power and should inspire someone to join the organization.

There should be some active verb in the vision statement. like "to create" "to build" etc.

There should be a sense of fairness, equality etc. in terms of race, religion, sex, age etc. A sense of togetherness so that people are inspired to come together as an organization

The vision should be lofty and bold but not ridiculous. It should be credible for what you are trying to do and the people you are focused on serving.

The vision should not have cliches like "have peace in the world " etc. It should be broad, yet focused. It should really convey and mean something, not just a platitude.

The words should be precise and clear, not ambiguous or nebulous. The message should be consistent.

Finally it should segue to your mission statement. It should lay the groundwork for a woman's organization, i.e., PWI.

I recently read something from Brian Tracy that inspired me. He said "The only limits on what you can be, have or do are self-imposed. They don't exist outside of you."

He goes on to say that once you decide on your goal and throw yourself completely into the achievement of your goal, your ultimate success is guaranteed as long as ... you don't stop.

I have more than one question for you today -- what is it that stops you from achieving your goal? How do you overcome whatever obstacles you come across? I look forward to your comments!

Your Passion, Your Leadership

One person can have an impact so large that it lives bigger after they are gone. We have seen this time and again. Today it is evident as we honor Martin Luther King, Jr.

What is the common thread among people who impact the world in a positive way? Steve Jobs, Benjamin Franklin, Christopher Columbus, Martin Luther King, Jr., Gandhi, Princess Diana, Mother Theresa, and the countless others who are no longer here and some who are still here - what makes them take a stand and stand out?

I can think of more than one common thread among them: passion, virtue, intelligence, vision, integrity, love of humanity, love for making a difference, taking a stand, believing in something larger than themselves, failure, disappointment, heartache, struggle.

These people are just like you and me. We are all alike in that no matter how small we think we are or how large we think we are or want to be, struggle and disappointment will be there in some way or another. It helps to shape us, shape our vision, connect us to one another, and it can fuel our passion.

Heartache, struggle, disappointment all mean that you care and failure means that you are taking action. Your passion, your vision, your dream keeps you going as well as the obstacles keep you sharp, and can stimulate your creativity. All of the experiences we have can work together in perfect harmony if we allow them to. The key is not only our passion but also our leadership, unlocking both, allowing them to flow, nurturing them, and feeling our true desires for good.

The Creative Law of Prosperity - Part II

Part II

  1. Make a list or draw up some kind of potential plan, which you should feel free to change, revise, reform and rearrange as your ideas about it unfold.

Note: Writing clarifies your thoughts - the mind follows by producing definite results when it has been given definite ideas through which to work. Until you get specific with your desires, you will not be specific in the attainment of them. You need to

  2. Prosperity is the result of deliberate thought and action.

  3. If you don't know what you want, simply begin thinking about and making lists of those things now in your life that you don't want. List things you wish to have cleared up and eradicated from your life. To that list declare, "This too shall pass" or "Be thou dissovled."

  A Prosperity Formula

  4. Write out your desires for the next 6 months.

-- Then write out your desires for each month.

-- Each week add to your list or change your list of desired results as you feel led.

-- Feel free to change your list completely, expanding yoru desires or crossing off desires that no longer appeal to you.

-- Spend at least 15 minutes a day pouring verbal prayers and blessings upon your listed desires.

-- Work daily on your list, revsing, changing, expanding it.

-- Be very definite - such as listing the amount of money you wish to make for the day, week or month.

-- Put a time limit and definite dates by which you wish the fulfillment of your desires.

-- Do not wonder, doubt or question how your rich good is to be fulfilled.

-- Stay busy putting things in action in simple ways.

"Every obstacle rushes to get out of the way of the woman who knows where she is going; and all the world seems on the side of the woman who tries to rise."

  5. Write a letter to God stating your deepest desires and place it in your bible!

  6. Make a daily list.

-- Sit quietly in the morning for a few minutes while thinking of your day and the many big and little things you wish to see accomplished by yourself and others.

-- Make lists of those desired accomplishments.

-- Write a note of thanks to God at the end of the list for the "divine fulfillment and the divine achievements."

-- At the end of the day, take another few minutes, go back over the day and write "thank you" notes to God for the blessings receved and the good accomplished.

-- Begin thinking of the following day and make some notes concerning its perfect fulfillment.

The Creative Law of Prosperity - Part I

  Part 1

I recorded the Creative Law of Prosperity from The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity by Catherine Ponder today. It's one of my favorite chapters because it's about the power of desire, planning and taking action. These are 3 important elements for achieving anything.

But, it's not desire alone that is needed. True desire is needed. You can lose your desire, not have the desire to succeed, or have the wrong desire attached to a goal or not even know what your desire is.

Your desire is your fuel. For everything. Have you ever noticed when someone wins anything, how their desire is stronger than their opponents'? Whether you have two people or two teams, the stronger the desire, the more determined, persistent, intense and powerful the person or team.

Desire is all important. That's why apathy and mediocrity is the death of accomplishment! When properly developed, according to Catherine Ponder, a strong desire is the foundation for the power of success. I believe it. It makes perfect sense.

Napoleon Hill, author of Think and Grow Rich, states over and over again that the secret to success is a burning desire.

Here are Catherine Ponder's key points for The Creative Law of Prosperity and my personal favorites - these inspire me to take action!

  1. There are 3 basic steps for The Creative Law of Prosperity

  a. Have a plan, write out your desires concerning the plan and constantly expand it.

  b. Mentally image that plan as fulfilled.

  c. Constantly affirm its perfect fulfillment.

  2. First step is desire and the ability to do take constructive action.

  Note:

-- True desire is intense and powerful.

-- The stronger your desires for good, the greater the power of your desires to produce that good. ( I love that! )

-- The right desire is the first step in solving problems and getting ont he road to prosperity.

  3. To release your deep-seated desires for prosperity and success, center your attention on one big goal at a time. (one big goal always includes a number of small desires that are automatically fulfilled when the big one is achieved.)

Follow Your Heart & Live a Rewarding Life

You really do create your life. Here are 6 simple steps to assist you in creating a life you love, a life where you are fulfilled. It's not the accomplishment of the goals; it's the journey in accomplishing them that leads to a fulfilling life.

Step 1: Follow your heart. Let your heart lead you to the things you want to do. Whether you are in a job, career, business or relationship and your heart is not in it, look at how you can make a change to follow your heart.

Step 2: Start by making a list of at least these four areas of your life: spiritual, health, finances and recreation. Then write down how you want each of those areas to be and what changes you want to make. When you create compelling goals that inspire your heart, your journey to those goals is a journey worth living.

Step 3: Write down what you want, what's in your heart. For example, if you want to do something different in the line of your business or career, write it down. Then write down all the ways you can make it happen. Write down 25 ways you could make it happen. This is a time to really let the absurd come out. Be free to write anything down and allow your creativity to expand.

Step 4: If you aren't sure what it is you want, write down what you are sure you don't want. Then, look at what you don't want (that's valuable information by the way), and look to see how you would rather have it be - then write that down. For example, if you have a job and you feel unappreciated, trapped or invalidated and you don't want that - write down that you want a job (or career or business) where you feel appreciated, free and validated.

Step 5: Next make an action plan for each area and read it everyday. Take one action toward your goals at least once a week. More if possible. You will be surprised at how things will begin to change for you.

Step 6: Get an accountability buddy that you can share with and make promises. Set up a structure where you and your accountability buddy talk once a week to share if you kept your promises, what's working and not working and what you promise to do between now and the next call.

Take responsibility of your life experience, by taking on any of these steps or all of them. You deserve to have the life you want!

Building Your World

Whether you are building a business, working for a company or you want to do something different like write a book, be a speaker, or start an organization, there are key steps to powerfully “build your world.”

The first step is to take time alone to see the vision of what it is you want or want to do. Often, people do not take the time to just "THINK." This is an IMPORTANT step.

Being quiet and allowing your thoughts to flow, helps to give you clarity.

The next step is to write down the vision of what you want. Keep a journal. Writing brings forth the vision from your mind to crystallize and actualize it.

After you are clear, the third step is to build your team, enrolling others into what it is you want and how it can benefit them.

The first team you need is your spiritual team. Your spiritual team will help keep you grounded with your beliefs. Secondly you need a health team. Who do you trust to ask for advice to keep you healthy? Look for books or magazines you need that will support you. Ask yourself what you need to do to get to a healthy stage in your life and write that down.

The fourth step is to look at your professional life or business, and ask yourself what you need. If you want to write a book for example, what do you need to do that? Write down what and who you need.

Taking the time to write down each of these steps will provide you with a clear, concise plan for creating your life!

The last step is to take action. After you write down your vision and what you need, write down actions you will take, including by when dates on each one.

Tips for Getting Unstuck

Have you ever felt stuck, even when things have been going well? You might feel so stuck that you just don't feel like doing anything at all because you have sort of a “blah” feeling or you might even feel frustrated or depressed. It feels like nothing is flowing.

What can you do to get over that stuck feeling and get back into the flow? First realize that identifying that you feel stuck or frustrated is valuable!! STOP and check in with yourself to see what it is that is blocking you. You’ll find that you have some unfulfilled desire or thwarted expectation. Ask yourself “What is it that I want right now?” When you answer that question, ask yourself “Why do I want that?”

Keep asking yourself “And why do I want that?” for every answer you come up with. Drill down until you discover what it is that you really, really want. Your authentic answers are your key to fulfillment and vitality. Identifying what it is that you want deep down, will really get your juices flowing.

Another method is to take on small tasks like making a call or calls you need to make that you may be resisting, working on an incomplete project, or a letter you have been putting off. I have a friend who likes to sweep the floor when she is stuck. Since she gets stuck a lot, her floors are always clean!! But, it relaxes her and she gains a sense of fulfillment from this small task which takes her mind off of any frustration and she becomes more energetic from feeling fulfilled.

When you handle the small things, it opens the door for things to begin to flow again. If you have lots of things on your mind, and we all do these days, make a list of everything you need to handle, like filing your taxes, taking care of traffic tickets , cleaning out your closets, creating time for the garage sale you have been wanting to do, communicating with people you said you would and you have not, etc.

It’s amazing how these little things pull at you energetically and actually hold you back. Once they are put on a list, it helps to get you on track and revitalized. You’ll find that you are getting them off your mind, and getting them done too! What’s really great is how some of these things take care of themselves before you might get to them. I love that.

When you make your list (be sure to include everything you said you were committed to doing), put a by when date to do them. If somethings comes up on that date and you could not get it done by then, recommit to a new date without feeling guilty. Commitment is distinct from an expectation. When you are truly committed, you will get it done either by the date you promised or by a new promised date, but either way, your commitment is for sure.

If you aren’t committed to getting something done and you keep moving the by-when date, you are setting yourself up for disappointment. Commit my friend, it’s the best way to have a clear conscience and energizes you.

Take actions and get unstuck! This one step can help create the life you want!

Expect Great Things,
Valeri
