He also currently teaches fashion makeup at the Academy of Art University.

Eugene has owned and run his family business of real estate since 1986.  He has been in key positions in New Orleans such as Chief of Staff of Louisiana Second District Congressional Office, President of Regions Bank, Executive Director of Mayor's Office of Economic Development, Director of Small and Emerging Businesses.  He studied at Harvard University receiving a BA in Economics and also went back to school at Tulane to receive a Masters in Business Administration. 

Pat Evans - University of New Orleans International Affairs

Pat Evans is Director of the International Project for Nonprofit Leadership at the University of New Orleans.  Pat worked in Eastern Europe (Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia) where her primary responsibilities were community building and the development of the nonprofit sector as European Director of the US-Baltic Foundation. She worked in Sarajevo, working with nonprofits throughout Bosnia (Serbs, Croats and Muslims), to develop a plan for the rebuilding of communities, by creating a united public identity for the nonprofit (NGO) sector. Pat has held executive positions in Louisiana government, a Fortune 500 company and was a documentary film producer for a major ABC-TV affiliate. Receiving national acclaim, her documentary on the Louisiana wetlands was nominated for an Emmy. As Director of the Louisiana Office of Women's Services, she passed landmark legislation in Louisiana, establishing some of the first family violence, rape crisis centers and non-traditional training programs for women in the nation. She built the office into a multi-million dollar operation, receiving national recognition for its employment and training programs for welfare recipient. 

LaVerne Saulny of Senator Mary Landrieu's Office


LaVerne Saulny is the Senior Staffer/Regional Manager of U.S. Senator Mary L. Landrieu’s New Orleans District office. Prior to joining Senator Landrieu’s staff, LaVerne founded “Write for You,” a consulting firm that provides management and development consulting to non-profit and for-profit organizations across the country. LaVerne is a best-selling author, among self-published authors, of “How to Run a Successful Home Based Business” and published a hand-guide for the United States Senate called “ Tips for Successful Grant Writing.” LaVerne serves on several boards and has received numerous awards and recognitions including: National Who’s Who, Young Leadership Council (YLC) Role Model of the Year, YWCA Role Model of the Year and nominee for City Business Woman of the Year, in addition to others. LaVerne loves reading, gardening, basketball and spending time with her grandson, Jordan. She is the mother of four adult children. LaVerne believes in living life to the fullest and living a first-class life everyday.

Former Senator Diana Bajoie

Former State Senator Diana  Bajoie is definitely one for the history books.  In 1976, as  a young woman in her twenties she began her public service in the Louisiana House of Representatives.  She was the only woman serving in that body.  In 1991, she was the first African American woman ever elected to the Louisiana Senate.  In 2004, when she took the oath as Senate President Pro Tempore, she was the first woman ever elected to a leadership post in the Louisiana Senate.

Bonnie Broel, Owner of the Famous House of Broel

Bonnie is the owner of New Orleans' famous “House of Broel”  where so many of the elite have purchased the most beautiful wedding gowns for their special day.  Ms. Broel has been involved in many community functions and is a part of the history of New Orleans.  Bonnie is full of many creative talents one of which is displayed in her doll house museum.  In 1991, Bonnie Broel was the first to be awarded the International "ROSE" Award (Retailer of Style and Excellence) and in 1992 she received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Fashion Group International for her contribution to the fashion industry. 

Mikhala Iversen

Mikhala is a psychologist with 8 years of international studies and a coach who is from and studied in Denmark.  She specializes in eating disorders, conflict resolution communicating, relationships and self- improvement just to name a few of her topics of expertise.

Eva Hurst-SanMartin

Eva Maria Hurst was born in Honduras and has been in New Orleans since 1964. She is a coordinator for Worker’s and Human Rights with Catholic Charities.  Eva has been a consultant and co-produced many cultural events and received many community awards.  Sitting on several boards, she also serves as a bilingual liaison with victims and witnesses of crime and local law enforcement.  

Contesse Wall - New Orleans

Contessé Wall is a publisher, educator, entrepreneur, trainer and philanthropist. She’s also an international intellectual property specialist. Contessé is among one of the most highly regarded consultants in this dynamic and challenging field and has gained international recognition in this unique arena. Contessé’s many achievements include creating publishing and business development curriculums, numerous books, textbooks, workbooks, inspirational collections of essays and poems, as well as several children’s book series (including The Amazing Adventures of Biscuit Prints?). Her strategic international marketing curriculum is at the forefront of building intercontinental economic empowerment through specialized training seminars and workshops. Contessé has introduced and taught her dynamic multi-faceted program at several universities, including Our Lady of Holy Cross College, Delgado Community College (New Orleans) and The University of New Orleans. She has also trained aspiring authors / writers and emerging entrepreneurs at numerous churches, schools, organizations, private gatherings, as well as community centers throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and Mexico.
